Research on MoreNova® Therapy for Stress Urinary Incontinence Completed at Shamir Medical Center

Israel – August 16, 2024

Article11

Initia is proud to announce the successful completion of a pioneering clinical study at Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh Hospital), evaluating the use of Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (Li-ESWT) with a vaginal probe for the treatment of female Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). The trial, designed as a single-blind randomized controlled study, was conducted using our innovative MoreNova® device.

Breakthrough Findings Presented at ESSM 2024

The results of this important study were recently presented by Dr. Anna Padoa, Head of Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Service at Shamir Medical Center, during the ESSM 2024 Conference in Bari, Italy. Her presentation highlighted the promise of MoreNova® therapy as a non-surgical, patient-friendly alternative for women suffering from SUI, a condition that impacts millions worldwide.

Recognition at ICS 2024 in Madrid

In addition to these presentations, an abstract based on the study has been accepted for podium presentation at the International Continence Society (ICS) 2024 Conference in Madrid this October — further underscoring the clinical relevance and international recognition of the research.

A Collaborative Effort

We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated team of physicians and researchers who made this study possible:
